Wash carefully & with the right products
When applying permanent extensions, it is important to advise your client to wait 48 hours before washing their hair.
Recommend a shampoo suitable for professional hair extensions that is silicone-free, protein-free, sulfate-free and sodium-free.
When washing, it is important to know:
• Brush and detangle hair extensions when at least 80% dry (never brush, comb or detangle when wet).
• Wash your hair with lukewarm water, always holding your head straight.
• Wash the scalp and between the attachment points, from root to tip.
• Rub gently to avoid the hair getting tangled between the roots and the attachment points.
• Apply a moisturizing mask to the lengths at least once a week (avoid applying it to the roots and attachment points).
• Wash your extensions at least once a week or every three days for oily hair.
Dry & Style
• Pat your hair extensions dry after washing with an extension towel.
• Preferably use a “wet brush” or “boar bristle brush” style extension brush .
• Use a heat protectant suitable for hair extensions .
• Dry your head straight, holding the hairdryer at least 15 cm away from your scalp and the attachment points.
• When it comes time to brush them, hold your extension at mid-length then brush slowly, starting at the tip and working your way up to the edge of the attachment points.
• Use a hair straightener or curling iron. Apply a finishing oil suitable for hair extensions to the ends to
to keep them well moisturized. Don't forget to wash your hair extensions before ironing if you have applied a finishing oil so as not to "fry" the extensions.
Here are some products that we recommend to facilitate maintenance and which will ensure the quality of the extensions is maintained.
in order to keep them as long as possible.
1. Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner
-It is important to do 2 shampoos and rinse thoroughly afterwards, it is not necessary to use a lot of
product in order to have good cleaning efficiency, approximately the size of a $1 coin. It is also important to
Gently run your fingers between the attachment points to thoroughly clean any buildup that may be there.
-For the conditioner it is important to put a small amount and not to put it on the attachment points. It is
recommended to apply the product to the lengths and ends of the extensions only. It is also important to rinse
abundantly thereafter.
2. Hydrating mask
-Using a moisturizing mask is an incredible asset to accentuate the shine of the extensions and ensure their flexibility as well
than good hydration. We recommend doing this once a week. Simply apply it to the lengths
and tips of the extensions without touching the attachment points, leave it to act for around 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
It is important to note that the mask should always be followed by the conditioner. The mask treats deeply and the conditioner tightens the scales.
Don'ts
⇒ Never pull if there is a knot at the root, gently separate the extensions.
Notify your technician if you are unable to do this.
⇒ Do not brush or comb over the attachment points.
⇒ Do not pull too hard, because the strength of your hand is equivalent to
several kilos and can pull out the extensions or even tear off your
root if the extension resists.
⇒ Do not scratch too hard at the roots to avoid breaking your hair or damaging the hair extensions
• Never sleep with wet hair
• Tie hair in a low ponytail or braid when sleeping.
Coloring
For the safety of hair extensions and their maintenance , always refer to a specialist who is used to working with extensions. He will know which product to use to preserve them. A non-product
suitable for extensions risks creating premature loss, damaging the
strands and reduce the lifespan of hair extensions since the product
could damage the attachment points. Never bleach the extensions .
Activities & Leisure
Any sport can be practiced. If the activity carried out may tangle the hair extensions (e.g., swimming, jogging, etc.), suggest simply tying the hair up. It is important to note that chlorine and sea water are not recommended for extensions and are extremely drying.
If swimming in the sea or pool, we recommend tying hair into braids and applying hair oil or serum. Afterwards, the client will only have to rinse the extensions thoroughly.
